El Cid is backed by generations of Champions.  His multi Champion Spanish sire, Cimero, is one of the leading Spanish sires in the US today and is brother to Spanish National Champion Mare and British National Champion Mare, Camaya. El Cid’s multi Champion Crabbet bred dam, Macs Spyrite, is backed by generations of National, Canadian and Regional halter and performance champions and Top Tens, including National Champions, Gazarr++ and SurNeet++; Pacific Slope Champion Park Horse, The Real McCoy; and National Western Pleasure Champion Top Ten, Gayneeta.

El Cid was undefeated as a 2 year old in halter winning Junior and Grand Champion Stallion many times with Kim Potts.  He later went on to win Scottsdale Top Ten Stallion, Region 9 Top Five Stallion, and Western Pleasure Stallions Champion as a 4 year old.  Although he has not been promoted as a performance horse, El Cid also has tremendous potential for Hunter and Dressage.  Not only is El Cid a versatile Multi Champion Show Horse, but he is proving himself as a great sire, as evidenced by some of his champion get:
