Breeding / In Utero Purchase InformationBreeding Information Breedings to any Walnut Crest Farms stallion are available with payment of $150 nonrefundable booking fee and completed Stallion Service Contract. For transported semen, all stud fees include the first collection expense (excluding shipping charges). Thereafter, there will be a charge of $250 per collection plus shipping charges. One-half of the stud fee, less the prepaid booking fee, shall be due and payable at least two weeks prior to shipment of semen. The balance of the stud fee shall be due and payable within sixty days from the date of the first shipment of semen or when the Mare is confirmed in foal at 18 days, whichever occurs first. Should a mare owner need additional time, terms can be arranged. Special In Utero Purchase Offer Walnut Crest Farms now offers the sale of foals before they are born. A buyer may choose one of the mares owned by Walnut Crest Farms that is currently in foal to one of our stallions. The foal the buyer decides to purchase shall come with a live foal guarantee. Walnut Crest Farms will care for, board and foal the mare at no charge to the buyer. Upon standing and nursing and fulfilling our live foal guarantee, the foal is then owned by the buyer. Walnut Crest Farms will continue the care and board, including halter breaking, for five (5) months until the foal is weaned at no cost to the buyer. The buyer will be responsible for all veterinary bills, farrier, deworming, Sweepstakes nominations, etc. for the foal. Live Foal Guarantee - if the mare does not deliver a live foal that can stand and nurse, the breeding is repeated. Upon weaning, the buyer may take the foal home without all the hassles of getting the mare in foal, boarding and caring for the mare for eleven months and then caring for the foal until weaning. Our mares consist of an outstanding selection of Spanish, Spanish-related and Egyptian/Crabbet bred mares. In utero prices are as follows: Straight Spanish In Utero Foal $6500 Purchaser may have the option to pay for the in utero foal in full upon signing an In Utero Foal Sales Agreement, or on terms of 25% down with monthly or quarterly payments at 10% interest. The full purchase price of the foal shall be due by the time the foal is weaned. However, should a buyer need more time to payout the purchase price, Walnut Crest Farms will agree to board the foal after weaning, at a special reduced boarding rate, and care for the foal until it is paid for in full. The buyer will be responsible for all board, veterinary, farrier and deworming fees, etc. of the foal while at Walnut Crest Farms. Breeders to our stallions, please take note...if your mare has not settled or has lost a pregnancy and you are interested in an in utero purchase, we will deduct your stud fee and booking from the in utero sales price should you decide to take advantage of this offer.
